The NHS App is owned and run by the NHS. It can be accessed by anyone aged 13 and over registered with an NHS GP surgery in England or Isle of Man.
Once you have verified your identity in the app, you will have easy, 24/7 access to a growing range of health services and information.
If you do not have access to a smartphone, you can access the NHS App via a web browser on your computer or tablet by visiting NHS app online or click on the login button located on the right hand side of this page.
Nominate a pharmacy – choose a pharmacy where your prescriptions will be sent to.
Appointments
Submit non-urgent medical queries to your GP – ask for advice, help with administrative tasks, or follow up on test results directly through the NHS app. Your GP will review and respond to your submission. – How to contact your GP surgery about a health problem on the NHS App.
Manage appointments with your GP Surgery – search for, book and cancel appointments at your GP surgery, and see details of your upcoming and past appointments.
Book and manage hospital appointments in one place – you can choose your treatment provider from a list provided by your GP/referrer, and see information on most of them, including who to contact, waiting times, distance and booking details – How to see your Hospital referrals and appointments on the NHS App.
Receive messages and notifications – Receive and view secure messages from your GP surgery and get notifications through your phone or tablet – How to see NHS App messages and notifications. (The messaging services available in your NHS App ONLY allow patients to receive secure messages from their GP surgery if patients have their notifications turned on.)
Help someone else
Linked profiles – access the health records, appointments and prescriptions of people you care for (including children) – or get help from someone you trust – How to switch profiles on the NHS App.

You can still contact the practice by phone or in person, this is just another option, which other patients have found is more convenient and saves them time.
